Rajasthan Guide

Trip to Colorful state Rajasthan.

This should be useful for people travelling to Rajasthan and have to see major tourist places in Rajasthan.

From Pune and Mumbai we have trains to Rajasthan.

Here is short summary of my trip.

We took a train from Mumbai to Jodhpur the name of train was Suryanagri Express, this train has a very good arrival time to Jodhpur its at 7 am and this train runs daily from Mumbai.

You can have a sightseeing at Jodhpur within a Day and i will be uploading some pictures as well so that viewers get a feel of it.
The city is very good and you get a feel of Rajasthani culture all over. The city being small i preferred to travel by own public transport so that you get ample time to see the fort.

The main tourist attraction at Jodhpur is Mehrangarh fort.
Its a huge fort and lot of antique things kept inside.

Second location which i went was Jaswant thada there is Shrine of the ruled king.

The third location was Umaid Palace, I had lot of expectation from this place but they disappointed me as the Architecture was awesome but the Part of the palace open to tourists was very less it was just a cingle side of that palace which has museum inside. We were not even allowed to go under the dome, as that place is converted to Hotel Taj.

Don’t forget to have Mawa Kachori, Makhina lassi and Mirchi Pakoda specially at Janta Sweet Mart
From Jodhpur we went to Osiyan which is holy place. Went there by train next day morning.

Sacchyay Mata mandir Osiyan.
This temple is build in 7 th century with beautiful carvings all around.

From there we went to Ramdevra again another holy spot, for which we had to go via Falodi as there is no direct bus to Ramdevra from Osiyan.

Our next destination was Jaisalmer ,the golden city and land of sand stone and beautiful work of sandstone. For that we had to take bus from Pokran as we had very less options for Jaisalmer from Ramdevra.

Jaisalmer, Golden city.

Its Small city but full of tourists. Places we saw were

The best part
Sam Sand Dunes
It’s about 50 kms from Jaisalmer....
I would say that’s the best part of Rajasthan and unique place in India no other place is as this.
Definitely have a camel ride and take a long ride of Camel which really amazing and will give a feel of real desert which is about 3 kms long. At the beginning the desert is crowded and lot of people are there but if you go about a km ahead you will really enjoy.
